Cooperation Memorandum Between the Jordan Hotels Association and the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Association to Promote Health Awareness

Amman - Jordan

The Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) has signed a cooperation memorandum with the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Association to raise health awareness about celiac disease among hotel sector employees, particularly those working in culinary, food, and beverage service departments.

The memorandum was signed in the presence of Mr. Hussein Al-Helalat, Deputy Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association, and Mrs. Suhair Abdel Qader, Chairman of the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Association.

This collaboration aims to educate hotel employees on how to accommodate guests with celiac disease by organizing workshops and training programs covering the nature of the disease, its symptoms, ways to prevent food contamination, and the preparation of specialized menu options for member hotels.

In this context, Helalat emphasized that the Jordan Hotels Association seeks, through this initiative, to enhance the quality of services provided in hotel establishments and ensure a safe hospitality environment that meets the needs of all guests.

For her part, Mrs. Suhair Abdel Qader highlighted the importance of raising awareness within the hotel sector to ensure the availability of safe food options for patients, thereby strengthening their trust in Jordan’s tourism establishments.

This collaboration is part of the Jordan Hotels Association’s broader efforts to promote sustainable hospitality standards and provide services that align with global health requirements, reinforcing Jordan’s position as a distinguished tourist destination.
